The regular season has officially come to a close! The last week of intramural games was jammed packed with exciting action. As teams’ dreams and season long aspirations were made or crushed within a 24 minute battle of intensity. As teams have a week off over break those fortunate playoff bound contenders have their eyes set on the intramural crown. MGR Express still holds the overall number one seed and teams will be gunning for them come playoff time. We would like to thank everyone who came out to our previous sampling event and we will certainly be back out there as the playoffs get underway. Good luck to all teams as you embark into the grueling tournament to determine the true Iowa Champion! As always, we will see you out there!

After wrapping up our season last night in style with some great games I would like to give a big thanks to all of the players, refs, and rec center employees who have made this season so much fun-it wouldn’t have been the same without you! Since many of you were sad to hear that it was our last night at intramural basketball–don’t fear we will be back next fall promoting POWERADE at intramural football games! Spread the word about POWERADE and don’t forget to check out the videos and pictures we have posted throughout the season! Enjoy your spring break and we will see you all next fall!! Go POWERADE!!

As we come into the last game of the season, Showtime faces a tough but defeatable ‘Team Ice’ in their season finale. All intramural guard Bobby Codjoe is sideline 2-3 more weeks with an ankle injury. They will expect T, Kris, and Derek Sharp to step up their games dramatically. Last season the two teams faced off in the first round of the playoffs and Showtime put up a lackluster effort in defeat. Showtime looks to tie the series with a win heading into the playoffs

Showtime blows out Ball Hawks 76-43. Zach led all scorers with 24 points. From the gate, Showtime guard Don Lilley came out and set the tempo with three first half three pointers from deep. Ball Hawks switched to zone, only to be thwarted by Brent Gaines and Khalid in the low post.
