Today is the Intramural Basketball Championship here at St. John’s. A year ago from today I went to the Intramural championship game with my roomates and thats the first time I ever saw POWERADE intramurals. I didn’t even participate in Intramural Basketball back then, I was just an onlooker. One of the campus Reps gave me a free towel and I was like “Cool, free stuff!” lol. That event interested me in applying for the Internship over the summer. Now this year I’m a Campus Rep for St. John’s University, and maybe I’ll be handing some free stuff to next years Campus Reps.
Everybody come to Taffner tonight from 5-11pm and encourage your friends to come with you. The night will start off with a Skills Challenge, then the All-Star Game and end with the Intramural Basketball Championship Game. We have a lot of great talent here at St. John’s University, trust me I’ve experienced it first hand (Thank You Mercy Rule), so there will be some exciting moments and great entertainment. And last but not least, Free POWERADE for everyone and other free products from POWERADE Intramurals. So don’t be shy come to the biggest Intramural event at St. John’s all year and make sure you stop by the POWERADE sampling table for some free, great tasting POWERADE ION 4!

Playoffs are starting this Sunday at St. John’s University. The playoffs will continue all week untill the Championship Game on Thursday March 25th. Championship day will be a big event because the All-Star event and Skills Challenge will be held the same day and you already know POWERADE will be there to Top it off! So make sure your at Taffner to witness all the baskebtall events and get some FREE POWERADE ION 4 and other FREE GIVE AWAYS!

Theres only 1 week left of intramural basketball this season for St. John’s University after Spring Break. POWERADE will be sampling again Wednesday March 17 from 5-8pm and Friday March 19 from 6-9pm. These are our last two sampling events. We will also be there for the Championship/Allstar Game. Thats our schedule for the last 3 events of the season. Don’t miss out! we have a lot of free POWERADE and String bags to give out bfore the end of the season. See you there!

Shout-out, props and kudos to MONstars. The winner of the mid-season classic at St Johns went on to the regional intramural basketball tournament up in Boston.
They opened up with a win against Merrimack (54-48), a thrashing of Columbia (72-22) and finally a win over Penn State (58-51). That won them a first round bye. In the quarter-finals they had a rematch against Penn State and won 57-42. In the semis they downed James Madison (58-50) before taking on Villanova in the finals…and they won that too! A close game ending 58-54.
They now advance to the national intramural basketball championship, which will take place April 9th-11th at Vanderbilt University.

Today St. John’s University Campuses were closed as of 4pm. That means NO intramural basketball games untill school re-opens and No POWERADE Sampling :’( . POWERADE returned to Intramural basketball at St Johns last night. Steven and I were bringing people in Taffner their favourite bottled product (POWERADE) and got to see a host of close games.

Kicking things of was the closest game of the night. A gritty game saw MOB down Swag Squad, with the game going down to the final possession.

Incretible and Channel 6 news fought a close battle.

Finally Manchester United won their first game of the year in a close game with the Froliking 22ers.

More action coming your way soon, check us out back in Taffer field house on Thursday night!

The Preliminary Round runs February 23, 2010 — March 7, 2010. The top video from each group will go on to the Semifinal Round from which the top two videos will be selected for the Championship Round.

welcome one and all, to the pre mid-season classic report.
8 teams make it to the this semester’s mid season classic, and competition will be fierce no doubt, for a chance to head to Boston!

Monday sees the four first round games take place. Kicking things off is monSTARs vs the Channel 6 news team. Then the #8 seed Young Gunz looks to upset the aptly named #1 seed Dreamteam. 7pm sees Sammy take on MOB and the night ends with Pinkstorm taking on the Green Light Boys.

Come out to Taffner and check out what will no doubt be an action packed night of basketball…
